Lets talk Ear Candles

Let's talk ear candles

What are they? What are the benefits of using them? Are the safe/and how do you use them?

Well, what are they, for all our newbies out there that have never even heard of an ear candle or maybe have and never seen or used one before, they are hollow tapered tubes that are normally around 10 inches in length? Most are made of bees wax or soaked in a mixture of wax and other beneficial herbs.

Now the benefits of them, from personal experience I revived no change but after ear candling my husband, so much wax comes out of his ear that it's hard to believes he was able to hear at all! He says it also helps with his tinnitus (ringing in the ears). Those are just our results from them, other people have had different results from them such as, swimmers’ ear, hearing problems, sinus infections, vertigo or dizziness, stress and tension, earaches in general and of course wax build up.

A big question that goes around with ear candles is, are they safe and to answer that you first need to know how to ear candle.

Directions: Setting up the candle, I like using the pie tins (to catch the ash) you can get from the dollar store but you can also use a paper plate, just poke a hole in the middle and stick the ear candle in the hole up to the line on the candle.

You lie on your side with one ear facing down. Then someone you trust will put the pointed end of the candle into the hole of the ear that’s facing up (I normally just let my husband do this part himself so I'm not jamming it in his ear) you want to make sure to adjusts it to create a seal in the ear hole, then light the top of the candle on fire and it creates a suction that pulls the wax and debris out of the ear.  Let it burn until you get to the ending line where your pie tin should be. Safety precautions will need to be taken, NO fans on near you when doing this, and it’s always a smart idea to have a glass or container of water nearby just in case.
